Inman Aligner

Inman Aligner

Inman Aligner is a type of orthodontic appliance that aligns crowded or crooked teeth into a more aesthetically and functionally desirable position.

It is offered as an alternative to the Invisalign invisible brace system. The Inman Aligners are better suited to treating small misalignments of upper and lower front teeth.

After a consultation, your dentist will confirm if you are a suitable candidate for treatment with the Inman Aligner, or if another type of cosmetic brace system is better suited.

How does the Aligner work?

The Inman Aligner is a removable appliance that moves the teeth gradually over time. It utilises a coiled spring on the inside of the appliance, behind the teeth, to generate tooth movement, whilst a bar sits over the front of the teeth to move the teeth into their correct positions.

Typical Inman Aligner treatment times vary from 6 to 16 weeks and are generally shorter than most invisible, cosmetic brace systems.

It is recommended to wear the aligner for at least 20 hours a day for the duration of the treatment period.
